Women’s Wellness Workshop: A Plant-Based Approach to Women’s Health

Dr. Wendy Romig, Doctor of Clinical Nutrition of Sage Integrative Health, is back by popular demand, this time with her sell-out seminar on Women’s Health and Wellness. Dr. Romig takes a plant-based approach to health and nutrition, and she will coach us on embracing a more natural path toward healing illness and achieving optimal health.

Women’s health issues are complex and very individual. Learn natural approaches to addressing a wide range of imbalances affecting women. We’ll explore herbal remedies, nutrition and lifestyle interventions that will help you feel your best at any age. Whether you are currently experiencing a women’s health issue or are curious about preventive measures for wellness as you age, you’ll learn herbal remedies for specific women’s health issues, the effects of nutrition on a woman’s body, and how to regain and maintain health and vitality.

Tomato Tasting

Come enjoy a Summer evening with tomatoes, beer, and wine to celebrate our tomato harvest from Rushton Farm! Try a variety of tomatoes presented in multiple ways – simply sliced or in tasty preparations.

The Tomato Tasting is located at Rushton Farm at Rushton Woods Preserve, where we sustainably grow food on protected land. Rushton Farm and Rushton Woods Preserve is part of the Community Farm Program of Willistown Conservation Trust. Our farm is managed as a vibrant ecosystem that enhances the surrounding landscape.

This year, we are requiring advance registration due to limited capacity. Tickets are $25 for CSA members and $35 for non-CSA members. Please also consider making an additional donation to support the work of the Trust.

Starts at 5:00 pm and ends at 7:00 pm

Rushton Farm Field-to-Feast Dinner Series: #4

Explore the bounty of Rushton Farm, with our final field-to-feast dinner, at the peak of the harvest season, with Chef Donna Laveran. We invite you to join us in gathering produce from Rushton Farm and helping prepare your own farm-fresh meal. We will meet at the Rushton Conservation Center and then have a walking tour of Rushton Farm to collect ingredients for dinner, so please come prepared to be outside and to help with food preparation.

Menu to be determined based on the harvest calendar, so check back soon for an update.

Dinners may be purchased individually, for $65 per adult (over 16).

This series of dinners is BYOB. Note: we may not be able to accommodate dietary restrictions. Please email kkg@wctrust.org before buying your ticket with questions or concerns.

Come explore the bounty of Rushton Farm, in a series of four field-to-feast dinners during the growing season with Chef Donna Laveran. We invite you to join us in gathering produce from Rushton Farm and helping prepare your own farm-fresh meal. We will meet at the Rushton Conservation Center and then walk through Rushton Farm to find ingredients for dinner, so please come prepared to be outside and to help with food preparation.

In August, we witness the splendor of the prime-season harvest, with vine-ripened produce still warm from the summer sun. Menu to be determined based on the harvest calendar, so check back soon for an update.

The final Rushton Farm Field to Feast Dinner will be held on September 25, from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. We will update menus for future classes closer to harvest time, to ensure that we are making the most of peak produce.

Dinners may be purchased individually, for $65 per adult (over 16), or $115 for the remaining two in the series.

In July, we will celebrate the bounty of mid-summer, with vine-ripened produce still farm from the summer sun. Menu to be determined based on the harvest calendar, so check back soon for an update.

The next Rushton Farm Field to Feast Dinners will be held on July 10, August 28, September 25, from 5 pm to 8 pm. We will update menus for future classes closer to harvest time, to ensure that we are making the most of peak produce.

Dinners may be purchased individually, for $75 per adult (over 16), or $285 for the series.
