"Just Show Up" Volunteer Wednesdays at Rushton Farm
If you are interested in getting your hands dirty, Rushton Farm hosts a “Just Show Up” volunteer day every Wednesday, from June to October, between 9 am and 12 pm for weeding, harvesting, and other farm activities. No reservations necessary!
Stewardship Volunteer Thursdays
WCT maintains many public nature preserves, and we need some help keeping these conserved lands looking their best for all visitors and the many species that depend on this healthy habitat. The Stewardship Team hosts weekly volunteer work sessions from 9 am to 12 pm and tasks include:
- Cutting/removing invasive plants
- Clearing vines from trees and tree cages
- Planting native trees and shrubs
- Pruning trees and shrubs
- Trail clean-up and maintenance
- Stream clean-up

Watershed Volunteer Days
Our public preserves boast a variety of critical habitats for our watersheds — from riparian forests to wetlands and springs, all of these conserved lands need help to remain in good condition to support a diversity of wildlife and visitors. Join the Watershed Team on select Saturdays and during Fall Tree Plantings for family-friendly opportunities to help maintain the landscape and to learn from our resident scientists about what makes these habitats so special.
