John Holback

Having been raised in Landenberg and spending most of his formative years in the creek and woods around his home, John is a Chester County native. He spent the last five years working in California’s Santa Cruz Mountains on a variety of vegetation management projects designed to cultivate healthy ecosystems while combating the effects of extreme wildfire. Prior to that, he worked in the Wissahickon Valley Park building and maintained multi-use trails, planted trees, and led volunteers. John is also an ISA Certified Arborist. John and his wife, Emily, recently relocated to West Chester where she works as an Assistant Professor. In his free time, John likes to spend time with friends and family, cook, and use his metal detector to hunt for old relics.
