Erik Hetzel

Erik began working for the Trust in 2014 and brought with him over 25 years of planning experience, working for both public and private organizations. As the Director of Land Protection and Public Grants, Erik handles the development and execution of private conservation easements held by the Trust, the acquisition of public lands to add to our nature preserves, and grant funding to support these land conservation projects. If you’ve been to our events, then you’ve most likely heard Erik singing and playing keys alongside his brother in the Hetzel Brothers Band! When he’s not planning or jamming, Erik spends plenty of time in the great outdoors with his sons and wife.
