Our Spring Open House is back!  Join us at Rushton Woods Preserve for an immersive experience within our program areas: Bird Conservation, Watershed Protection, and Community Farm. You will be guided through the preserve and learn about the Trust’s holistic approach to conservation and have the opportunity to speak directly with our program staff.

BIRD CONSERVATION

Visit our Bird Banding Station along the hedge row of Rushton Farm and speak with our Director of Bird Conservation, Lisa Kiziuk about Avian research at the Trust and how these findings contribute to protecting birds and habitat vital to their survival.

WATERSHED PROTECTION

You can explore the ecology of our local streams with Lauren McGrath, Director of Watershed Protection Program, and learn about why keeping the watersheds of the Darby, Crum and Ridley Creeks healthy is so important.

COMMUNITY FARM

Fred de Long, Director of Community Farm Program, will share what’s growing on the farm this season, sustainable farming practices, and the importance of soil health.

Select a start time from the form below. You and your group will move through the preserve stopping at all three program areas to observe and talk with the staff.
