Sold Out! Rejuvenate at Rushton Wellness Retreat

Sold Out! Please check our events calendar for more programs and events.

Join us at the Rushton Conservation Center to slow down and reflect on the season of celebration with a day of fireside yoga, mindfulness, nourishment, and nature. Our friends at Working Wellness, Gaby Evers and Amy Orcutt, have composed a day-long retreat to reduce stress, rejuvenate the mind and body, and connect with nature. An all-levels flow will be followed by a meditative Sound Bath given by Audry Uchimoto that uses the therapeutic application of crystal singing bowl sound frequencies and vibrations to guide your energy field and brain waves into a state of harmony and peace. Chef Donna Laveran of Lazy Susan Kitchen will be back in the kitchen to prepare a nourishing lunch and share some tips for selecting healthy and approachable menus this season.

ABOUT OUR PARTNERS

Gaby Evers completed her yoga teacher training in 2017 at the YogaLife Institute and immediately began teaching classes.  Gaby brings her love of sports and fitness to her classes through static and dynamic poses with a focus on strength, flexibility, mobility, balance and breath.  She is especially interested in the mind-body connection and reducing stress and anxiety through yoga.  Gaby enjoys teaching yoga to kids, teens, and adults, and believes that yoga is instrumental in leading a healthy, injury-free lifestyle.  She is devoted to consistently increasing her knowledge of yoga through practice, study, and additional teacher training, and bringing that knowledge to her practice and her students.

Amy Orcutt loves yoga and loves to share it with her students. She started practicing in 1998, as a compliment to her training as a player on the University of North Carolina Women’s Lacrosse team. The benefits of incorporating yoga into her athletic life as a player at Chapel Hill were immediately apparent and started a lifelong love affair with yoga that she’s carried into every part of her life since.  In addition to teaching yoga, Amy is the Head Coach of the nationally ranked Conestoga High School Girls Lacrosse team, and has led them to District, Regional, and State Championships.  She was named Coach of the Year in 2016 by Philly Lacrosse, and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame at her alma mater, Conestoga High School.  Amy channels her love of athletics, energy, and enthusiasm to create challenging yoga sequences that will build strength, flexibility, and confidence in all who take her classes.
