PARTNERSHIP EVENT | WCT Presents: Saving, Studying, and Sharing Birds
“Bird conservation has been a primary focal point for the Willistown Conservation Trust over the years because birds provide an effective gateway to land conservation. People are drawn to their beautiful colors and songs, and their great migrations have the ability to connect our local yards with faraway lands from the alpine taiga to South American rainforests. Unfortunately, birds are declining rapidly and need our help.
The Trust’s Bird Conservation Program is dedicated to researching bird populations, restoring local habitat, and educating the public about the importance of birds and their conservation. Learn about how the Trust is working to save birds through field techniques such as banding and tracking with radio tags; enhancing habitat with native plants; and promoting regenerative agriculture.”
