Mindfulness of the Senses | Intro to Meditation
Your attention is your most precious resource. It is the bridge connecting you to the wide and wondrous world that surrounds you. Practicing mindfulness meditation, you engage and strengthen your attention. Incredibly, when we bring more attention to life, rather than heightening our commonly felt stress or anxiety, we find more moments of ease, clarity, connection and well-being!
Join Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and Registered Nurse Brandon Everett for a morning exploring how practicing Mindfulness of the Senses not only can foster ease and well-being, but also enable us find greater connection and nourishment with nature and predispose us to experiences of awe!
In this introductory workshop you will learn:
– What mindfulness is
– How mindfulness works
– Guided meditations for connecting with your senses
– The relationship between mindfulness, nature, and the experience of awe
While this introductory class will focus on the topic of how practicing mindfulness of the five senses can draw us closer to nature, it also stands as an excellent introduction to mindfulness meditation practice in general.
