“Just Show Up” Volunteer Wednesday at Rushton Farm
If you are interested in getting your hands dirty, every Wednesday, May through October, Rushton Farm hosts a “Just Show Up” volunteer day between 9 am and 4 pm for weeding, harvesting, and other farm activities. You can show up whenever you’re able, and stay for however long you would like. No reservations are necessary, and don’t forget a water bottle, lunch, gloves, and tools, if you have them — don’t worry, we have extra tools if you need them!
Park in Lot A and meet us at the Farmshed.
About Rushton Farm
Using the concept of agroecology (farming with nature in mind) and using organic and regenerative farming practices, we put the land to work at Rushton Farm to feed people and further enhance the surrounding ecosystems. The result is a productive farm that yields 30,000 pounds of fresh, healthy food each year and grows 140 varieties of fruits and vegetables for a 110-family Community Supported Agriculture program. We are proud to donate 15% of the yield at Rushton Farm to the Chester County Food Bank and West Chester Food Cupboard each year.
