Our nature preserves are open to the public 365 days per year, providing natural places that offer peace and respite for all. We will keep them open as long as it is safe to do so. While visiting our preserves, please practice social distancing and wear a mask if you encounter another person who will be closer than six feet … Learn more about our nature preserves.
Halloween Hike at Kirkwood Preserve
Thank you to all who have registered for this event! Because it has been so popular we are closing registration to keep the crowd size safe. Have a wonderful and safe Halloween.
Come ghosts and ghouls, princesses and pirates to celebrate Halloween with a hike through Kirkwood Preserve. Explore the winding meadows and learn about the wild creatures that sneak in the fields, lurk in the forest and soar through the night sky. We encourage costumes, but come as yourself if it feels more comfortable. A special treat will be awarded to those brave enough to participate in the scavenger hunt! To ensure the safety of all of our participants we are offering two sign up times for the hike, 4:00pm and 5:00pm. Please maintain 6′ between you and other groups and masks are required (we welcome creativity!) This event is suitable for children of all ages. Questions? Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
