Forager Friday at Rushton Woods Preserve
This event has been postponed from Friday, May 6 to Friday, May 13! We hope you can still make it!
Join our Stewardship Team and Restore our Roots on a nature walk through Rushton Woods Preserve and learn the best tips and tricks for sustainably foraging plant species, whether you’re looking to cultivate a specific species from seed or collect something safe for a delicious snack! Restore our Roots will teach you about the different edible plants and weeds that pop up this time of year, and they will have a special foraging cookbook available for purchase at this event.
About Restore Our Roots: Based in Downingtown, Restore our Roots is a sub-committee of the Downingtown Borough’s Parks & Recreation Committee. The group works to restore the local habitat through the usage of native plants and responsible gardening practices in hopes of uniting the community with its natural roots.
