We are celebrating Women’s History Month and the important role women play in the agricultural industry. Join Emma de Long, owner of Kneehigh Farm and Red Dog Market, and Molly Clark, manager of Rushton Farm, as they host a panel of women farmers for a conversation about regional and national agriculture, why they chose farming as a profession and what the future holds for women in agriculture. During the spring migration, you can observe the bird banding process with our Bird Conservation Team and learn about the many and varied species that stop over at Rushton Woods Preserve during their migration. Join us at Rushton Woods Preserve for an immersive experience within our program areas: Bird Conservation, Watershed Protection, and Community Farm. You will be guided through the Preserve and learn about the Trust’s holistic approach to conservation and have the opportunity to speak directly with our program staff. ![]() Volunteer Day: Honoring Bonnie Van Alen Saturday, May 7 | 10 am - 12 pm Rushton Woods Preserve & Ashbridge Preserve As we honor the legacy of the Trust’s co-founder and former Executive Director Bonnie Van Alen, we invite you to our first annual Bonnie Van Alen Day of Service. Participate in a variety of volunteer activities to benefit our local land, water, wildlife, and habitat at two of our public nature preserves: Rushton Farm and Rushton Woods Preserve, and Ashbridge Preserve. ![]() Registration for Rushton Nature Keepers is coming soon!
Rushton Nature Keepers (RNK) provides youth (ages 7-11) with unique opportunities to develop a meaningful relationship with nature, which will fuel a lifelong desire to protect the environment. We offer regular programs covering four conservation themes: birds and wildlife, regenerative farming, watersheds, and healthy habitat. OUR MISSION is to preserve and manage the open land, rural character, scenic, recreational, historic, agricultural and natural resources of the Willistown area and nearby communities, and to share these unique resources with people of all ages and backgrounds to inspire, educate and develop a lifelong commitment to the land and the natural world.
