475 Run-a-Muckers came to Kirkwood Preserve to enjoy a fabulous October afternoon and evening in support of Willistown Conservation Trust's land conservation programs. The new trail followed a glorious path through conserved lands, ending with a tromp through the Crum Creek. Delicious BBQ by Jimmy's BBQ and entertainment by Blue Sky Band capped off a beautiful, blustery day.
Over 50 volunteers helped plant 900+ trees along the Crum Creek on November 7th. This important riparian buffer will stabilize the stream banks, prevent erosion, and improve the water quality of this extremely important stream. This project was a collaboration between Stroud Water Research, Chester-Ridley-Crum Watersheds Association, and Willistown Conservation Trust. An impressive result when three organizations work together!
