Mindfulness Meditation | Realizing Your Interconnection with Nature

We live in remarkable times. On one hand, we have never been more available (there is a smartphone in every pocket!). But we have also never been more disconnected (research has discovered people reporting historic levels of loneliness).

Mindfulness meditation is a simple but powerful technique for reconnecting with ourselves and the world around us. Mindfulness is your innate ability to bring a relaxed, clear attention to the present moment. Mindfulness meditation is the practice of cultivating a deeper, more clear connection with ourselves and our life in the present moment.

Join Registered Nurse and Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Brandon Everett for an evening exploring how mindfulness of breathing can bring us both into deeper connection with ourselves and to recognize our unbreakable connection with the natural world around us.

You’ll learn:
+ What mindfulness is
+ How mindfulness meditation supports overall health and well-being
+ One guided mindfulness practice shown to reduce stress/tension in just minutes
+ A final guided mindfulness of breathing practice to ‘point out’ your interconnection with all of nature

Where to go and what to bring:
+ Parking: Rushton Conservation Center, 915 Delchester Road, Newtown Square PA
+ Comfortable clothing for both indoor and outdoor mindfulness practice (bug spray is always good!)
+ Refillable water bottle (filtered water available onsite)
+ Our practice will be seated in chairs, so there is no need to bring additional equipment
