ECOcentric Experience | Stewarding the Land with Tyler K. of Reviving Wisdom Earthcare

Join Tyler K. of Reviving Wisdom Earthcare for a morning of practicing how to nurture healthy, resilient local ecosystems. This hands-on workshop is for anyone interested in cultivating an active role of compassionate stewardship of the land. Participants will gain experience and confidence applying regenerative skills at home to promote ecological health and resilience. Whether you’re an experienced steward or beginning to navigate this growing practice, the workshop will help you gain new perspectives and expertise. The skills gained can be applied at home, in restoration projects, for agriculture and more. 

Skills and topics we will cover:
-Assessing ecological health of an area
-Controlling aggressive, non-native species
-Observing plant communities, local ecotypes, and microclimates
-Creating a seasonal management schedule and checklist to avoid burnout
-Preventing earth-work injuries with body-safe movement practices

What to bring to class:
-Warm clothes, sturdy boots, and gloves for working outside in Autumn weather
-A journal/notebook and writing utensil
-Water bottle

Accessibility: This is a hands on workshop, which will take place entirely outside with light walking and may involve using tools around the preserve.

Tyler Kruszewski has been stewarding nature since he could walk, starting his first garden at age 5. With a bachelor’s of science from Drexel University and certifications and the completion of a Land Stewardship Training Program at the Horn Farm Center, he now focuses on community earthcare workshops.  In addition, Tyler is skilled in caring for the human body using what Earth has provided us and has completed programs at the School of Evolutionary Herbalism. He is also a passionate curator of the spiritual world, having apprenticed in sacred shamanic and druidic arts.
