As part of Willistown Conservation Trust’s ECOcentric Experience, we are collaborating with local landscape design and implementation firm Wild Bird DesignScapes for an inspiring, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to design a beautiful outdoor space that supports pollinators and strengthens our local ecosystem.

During this event, you’ll discover:

-Which native plants best support our local birds, bees, butterflies, and other pollinators

-How to design a backyard that’s both beautiful and environmentally beneficial

-Specifics on how to create a weed-free native plant pollinator meadow

-Simple changes you can make, no matter what size property you have – planters, window boxes, and trellises can be utilized for native plantings

-Why native plants matter and how they impact local wildlife

-How to help Eastern Bluebirds nest on your property, and protect them from house sparrows and wren invasion.

Whether you’re starting from scratch or improving an existing space, you’ll walk away with practical ideas you can use.

This event is partially indoors for a lecture followed by an educational walk on the preserve. Please dress accordingly for the weather.
