Streamside Stroll at Ashbridge Preserve | Water Quality Month

Join Lauren McGrath and Watershed Protection Program staff for an evening stroll along Ridley Creek at Ashbridge Preserve. As we walk along the stream, we will share what we have found from nearly seven years of stream research, showcase how we are working to improve the health of Ridley Creek, and search for some of Ridley Creek’s most elusive residents, including mink, beaver, and freshwater mussels.

Ashbridge Preserve has natural surface trails with a mild grade, so please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Though there will be opportunities to get in the stream, there will be plenty to see without getting in the water. This event is family-friendly.

Funding for this event was awarded through the “Protect Your Drinking Water” grant program, administered by the Pennsylvania Environmental Council with funding from Aqua, an Essential Utilities company.
