Full Moon Picnic and Tour

Friday, July 27 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Bring a picnic dinner to enjoy at your leisure before the moon program, which will begin after the moon rise at 8:30 pm. You’ll learn about the different origin theories of the moon and Charles Darwin’s connection to the moon. You’ll also get a chance to look at the features of the moon through a computerized telescope. Your tour of the night sky will also feature Mars (at its closest in 15 years) and the rings of Saturn. The tour will be lead by John Black, the current president of the Native Plant Society of New Jersey. Stay as long as you like. The sky is endless!

Adults and children of all ages are welcome. Bring a blanket or chair to sit on.

To register, contact Blake Goll at bhg@wctrust.org.
